MAIN BUILDING

The single storey building was constructed in 1855 of hawthorn brick with a slate roof. The building has been added to over the years, each addition preserving the heritage features of the school. The building houses the administration block and several classrooms. The original school bell, circa 1890, is displayed in the school foyer. In 1997, the school underwent a major upgrade, resulting in excellent facilities with a distinct heritage style.  In recent years Synthigrass has been laid on the asphalt area, new playground equipment erected, a gazebo and community centre built, shade cloth placed over the playground and garden areas developed to beautify the school environment.

During the summer of 2004 and 2005 in preparation for our 150th birthday celebrations, we have built a new heritage style front fence and entrance to our school. Commemorative brick pavers have been placed around our significant palm tree. ( these pavers are on sale all year and available for any member of he Cheltenham Community to purchase)
