PLAYGROUND & OVAL
The play areas at Cheltenham Primary are extensive, providing a vast range of activities for children to enjoy. These include:

As a SunSmart school, we ensure that children are protected from the sun while outside playing. During Terms 1 and 4, we have a "No Hat - No Play" policy. The new giant indoor under cover sand pit and Gazebo provide shaded area for sunny days.
Annually the children participate in a Jog-a-thon or spell-a-thon to raise money to go towards a special project of the school's either playground equipment, shade areas, computers etc..
The oval at our school provides the venue for a large number of sports. These include cricket, football, soccer and athletics. The oval's facilities include a long jump pit, soccer and new football posts and two cricket practice nets.
The oval also provides a large open area for our wider school community to use. Each year we hold a Twilight Family Picnic on the oval, with Life Be In It games, as a means of getting the whole school together.
