CURRICULUM
The curriculum Framework of schools has changed recently to the
VICTORIAN ESSENTIAL LEARNING STANDARDS
1. PHYSICAL PERSONAL AND SOCIAL LEARNING- health and PE interpersonal development, personal learning, civics and citizenship,
2. DISCIPLINE BASED LEARNING- the arts, english and languages other then english, humanities, mathematics, science
3. INTER DISCIPLINARY LEARNING- communication, design creativity and technology, information and communications technology, thinking
Essential Knowledge, skills and behaviours are developed throughout the above areas.
Prep- 4 Laying the Foundations- developing fundamental knowledge, skills and behaviours
Years 5-8 - Building Breadth and Depth - Students progress beyond the foundations. An expanded curriculum program provides the basis for in depth learning.
Yr 9-10 Developing Pathways -students develop greater independence on mind and interests, seeking deeper connections between learning and the world around them and then explore how learning is applied in that world.
